Alishia and Nolan Engagement Session
When I first met Alishia she was about 11years old and so eager to babysit my children. In fact, I think my kids were the first clients she had. She would come over with coloring books and crayons for my kids to play with. They absolutely loved having her babysit. It is so crazy how much time flies. When I see her I still see that little teeny bopper with the babysitting bag.
When she asked me to shoot her engagement photos I was thrilled. I knew exactly what kind of romantic look I wanted to create. They have a beautiful relationship together and I wanted to capture that with my camera lens. A desert sunset was the only way to go. Here in Arizona, we have absolutely epic sunsets. I felt that needed to be showcased in these engagement photos. We were literally driving when I spotted this breathtaking spot off the side of the road. I’ve never photographed at this spot before but it definitely won’t be my last.
She had this beautiful gold dress that matched well with his tailored suit. Her hair was so long and flowy it was exquisite. I was in complete awe when I saw them. I can’t wait to see what the future has installed for these two lovebirds.
A few tips to help your Engagement session go smoothly:
- Have outfits picked out before your shoot. If you choose to have more than one outfit, make sure changing won’t be a problem.
- Don’t be afraid of the camera. The more you channel your inner Tyra Banks the better your photos are going to be.
- Don’t be nervous to speak up if you have a certain pose in mind. Most photographers love suggestions. That being said, DON’T be crazy and bust out your Pinterest board. (Haha) Photographers don’t like that.
- Don’t be afraid to show your love for each other. Do all the sappy stuff when the camera is out. You want your photographer to capture your love on camera. So kiss, twirl and even do your sweet little inside jokes. You will love your photos a lot more.
Bes sure to check out this amazing BRIDE and GROOM session
Congratulations Alishia and Nolan!
