N + A {Bride and Groom Session}

Reasons Why you should do a Bride and Groom Session before the wedding:

1.  You have more one on one time with your photographer. I can’t tell you how many times I (photographer) have been pressured to quickly finish the Bride and Groom pictures to stay on schedule. Let us get real for a moment. Not every wedding is going to start on time. Sometimes the  Bride is running late because the hair and makeup artist didn’t show up on time. Or maybe the flower bouquets and the boutonnieres aren’t there yet because the floral vendor got pulled over for speeding. (true story right there) See all these key factors? Not everyone is going to be on time. If we take your photos beforehand we don’t run into those issues. Everything is on YOUR time not everyone else’s.
2.  A bride and groom session serves as a test run for your wedding day. It is the perfect timing to see how your entire bridal ensemble [ wedding gown, hair, makeup, accessories, grooms outfit, etc. ] comes together. I also think this is a great opportunity to do a bouquet test run as well. Have your florist make up a mock wedding bouquet for you to use during your portraits, that way you can make sure it is exactly what you wanted. Most hairdressers and Makeup artist do practice runs. This would be a great time to do those practice runs and see how it looks.
3. You can use multiple locations. Having your bridal session done before the wedding allows you to have stunning images at different locations. On your wedding day, your photographer will be limited on locations and time. Your photos will have more diversity to them if you do it before. You will have so much more options!
4. If you have your bride and groom portraits taken before your wedding, you will have the opportunity to display them at your wedding reception. So many of my brides do this. It adds more decore around your reception and  It’s a wonderful focal point. All of your guests will love it!
5.  Last but not least you will be much more comfortable on your wedding day. You will most likely feel less anxious working with your photographer because you already have an idea of what to expect. You will know what poses you like, how to stand, where to put your hands and so forth.
