When I decided to start a photography business in Arizona, I had no idea what I was doing. In 2010 I was a young Mom of 3 and had a love for photography. At that point I was struggling to find something I had a passion for and that I could put my heart and soul into, other than my children of course. Although being a mom is amazing, I needed a creative outlet for me and something that could help provide for my family. Thus, Poppyseed Photography was born. I put myself out there and booked my first photoshoot. Oh man, the editing was TERRIBLE, and the poses were horrid, but I kept shooting and learning as much as I could. From classes to endless amounts of Youtube videos, I was finally able to create a vibrant and unique style that my clients cherish. Now my business is thriving and is better than ever.

Poppyseed Photography has been one heck of a ride and one rewarding journey. I put my heart into my work and into creating lasting relationships with my clients. I love when I shoot a young brides wedding, and she returns for maternity and family sessions. That right there warms my heart. I have a fun way of connecting with my clients so they can let loose in front of my camera. We basically just play the entire time. I love capturing those happy interacting moments between two lovebirds, also the "in the moment" candid shots are my absolute favorite and of course kissing, I love a good kissing photo!

I love being a wedding photographer. I frequently tell my clients the crazy things I do is "all for the photos." They totally get it! Whether that is hanging off a mountain trying to get the perfect shot or making weird noises at the top of my lungs so a couple of cute cozy Alpacas can look directly at me for the photos. I love being able to freeze moments in time that people can look back on and remember, and being able to Capture the emotion of their wedding day through my lens. I love that my clients trust me enough to photograph the most important day of their lives. Some people think being a wedding photographer is a glamorous job; I assure you it's not. On wedding days I'm running around crazy trying to get everything photographed that needs to be, Calming down the bride. By the end of the night, I have boob sweat galore, my eyebrows have rubbed off, and my eyelashes are barely hanging on (yes, I wear fake lashes, and they are BOMB), but guess what..... I WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR THE WORLD! I am passionate about what I do, and that's not changing anytime soon!
