Wow, look at this beautiful family. So many adorable personalities meshed into one family session. I am so amazed at how well behaved these kids were. They did everything I asked of them, even if it sounded weird. (cue the awkward "Interact with each other" pose). They were all so sweet with each other too. Their parents are definitely doing something right. Maybe I should send my kids over to their house to get some training......?
When we were first discussing the location she mentioned her parent's backyard. They live in a country area so I knew it was going to be amazing. The green grass, the sunset and the texture of the fences complemented each other nicely.
Heres a pro tip:
Sometimes it's hard to get psyched up for family photos. If you're normally not up to taking family pictures, pick a location that you are comfortable with. You will most likely be relaxed and have fun at a familiar place (i.e. at your home, friends home or family members home). It's so important to really just chill and have a wonderful time during a family session. If you are stressed out, your photographer will capture that. If you are relaxed and having a good time your photographer is going to capture that. I would rather have my family photographs show the second rather than the first.
Marcia is such a wonderful example. I wish I could show a "behind the scenes" take of her in action. Lots of laughter from the entire family. She cracks jokes left and right. She is freaking hilarious. I need more of her even temper in my life. She is, hands down, one of my favorite people! Thank you, Brimhall family for letting me hang out with you and capture these moments.
Enjoy this beautiful family session!
